PROECT DETAILS

Male’ International Airport Phase IV, Republic of Maldives for Maldives Airports Company Ltd. Kuwait funded project to expand and upgrade the existing Malé Airport which currently handles 2 million passengers per annum to cater for growth to 5 million passengers per annum.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

Planning, detailed design and construction supervision for terminal building expansion including the provision for separate domestic passenger operations and aircraft parking areas.

The project also includes a new 33m high air traffic control tower on a new site together with Air Traffic Services building and energy centre. Project value 20m US Dollars of which 4 m for roads.

The study incorporated the following aspects:

Demographic analysis and projection.

Forecast and modelling of anticipated growth.

Concept plan formulation.

Traffic Impact Assessment on surrounding road network.
