Upgrade of WWTP’s at Ghantoot, Al Shuwaib & Sir Baniyas

TWS’s recent Sewerage Master Plan and AES projects have identified an immediate need for capacity upgrades and rehabilitation of the Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) in Ghantoot, Al Shuwaib, and Sir Bani Yas. The proposed upgrades and improvements aim to ensure that the existing plants continue to operate under the expected flow rate loads and maintain reasonably acceptable operational conditions over the intended planning horizons.

The proposed improvements will include civil, structural, MEICA, and HSE works. Depending on the requirements of each plant, the improvements shall achieve one or more of the following objectives:

Increase capacity to meet the expected flows.

Achieve a high level of odour removal.

Enhance operational security.

Improve maintainability.

Replace equipment.

Reduce the carbon footprint, including improvements in energy efficiency and reductions in chemical consumption, refrigerant usage, diesel consumption, and fuel consumption.

ACE scope of work related to the full detailed design of the STP building upgrade, process design, and obtaining all related authority approvals and the building permit.
